    If you are a New Zealand citizen, you are able to visit, live and work in Australia without having to obtain a visa prior to entry.

    When you arrive at the airport, your passport will be stamped and a Special Category Visa (SCV) will be recorded in the Immigration system. You will not receive a piece of paper showing this, your New Zealand passport is sufficient evidence that you hold this visa.

    If you choose to stay in Australia you may wish to become an Australian citizen. This is not compulsory however it may entitle you to additional benefits. For more information about this process, we recommend you visit the Australian Citizen website:
