Healthcare in New Zealand is subsidized by the Government though taxes. Australian citizens in New Zealand are granted the same privileges as New Zealanders, this includes:

If you require non-urgent healthcare in New Zealand, you can locate a Doctor in your area through the Yellow Pages. You can expect to pay between $40 and $60 to visit a doctor in New Zealand. Prices may differ between cities and the type of treatment you are receiving (e.g. some sexual health related services are free).

Private Healthcare in New Zealand
