Visas for Australians in New Zealand

If you are an Australian citizen, you are able to visit, live and work in New Zealand without having to obtain a visa prior to entry.

When you arrive at the airport, your passport will be stamped and a Special Category Visa (SCV) will be recorded in the Immigration system. You will not receive a piece of paper showing this, your Australian passport is sufficient evidence that you hold this visa.
